I’m so stressed out right now.
Friday’s episode of Fashion Star really made me ponder mortality and existence and how a butterfly can flap its wings halfway across the globe, causing you to play things safe and ultimately get kicked off the show.
Thankfully, though, Edmonton’s Cassandra Hobbins is still in the running. There are only two episodes and four contestants left. Just thinking about it makes my heart rate skyrocket. Hobbins said that, if she makes the final three, her parents would fly out for the finale. She hadn’t seen her family in over a year. Oh, the emotions! I truly hope she gets to see her family in the audience and share the Fashion Star experience with them.
Our city breeds some incredible design talent, and Hobbins is just one of its many success stories. She’s waving our flag down there in the States. No matter what place she comes in, I think Hobbins will prove the world should be keeping its eye fixed on our local fashion scene.
